Phra Somdej Nak Prok Amulet from the Most Venerable Luang Phor Thong Gleung with Sacred Porcupine Quill
This magnificent Phra Somdej Nak Prok amulet was consecrated around 1995 at Wat Chedi Hoi by the most venerable Luang Phor Thong Gleung. Made from sacred powder, it depicts the Buddha Phra Somdej on a nine-tiered throne meditating under the protection of the king of nagas.
This edition is distinguished by the presence of a genuine small porcupine quill passing entirely through the amulet. This ritual element is intentionally incorporated during manufacturing and then secured with a protective resin. In most ancient specimens, this quill is now broken, which makes amulets that have retained it particularly sought after.
In ancient Thai esoteric traditions, the porcupine symbolizes exceptional natural protection. Its quills represent a permanent defense against visible and invisible dangers. Masters of certain lineages attribute to it virtues promoting protection, resilience in the face of adversity, stability, courage, and the ability to repel negative influences.
