🛡️ Tao Wessuwan — Guardian of temples, protector against spirits and master of prosperity
Tao Wessuwan (also called Taw Waes Suwann or Vessavana ) is the ruler of the Yaksha, protector of temples and the Dharma. In Thai tradition, he repels ghosts and harmful influences, protects the home, and opens the way to a more stable and prosperous life.
He is recognized by his tall guardian stature, holding a ritual club ( krabong ) and watching over the entrance to monasteries. Brother of Kubera in the stories, he is also invoked for fair luck, honest success and safety when traveling.

“Homage to the Blessed One, the Arahat, the perfectly awakened Buddha” (x3).
This mantra invokes the protective power of Tao Wessuwan to ward off evil spirits, strengthen stability, and attract righteous prosperity. It is traditionally recited three times before asking for his blessing.
🌺 Recitation tip:
Light three incense sticks and offer a flower or a glass of clear water before reciting the mantra. If possible, face north (the direction of Tao Wessuwan) and state your intention with sincerity and gratitude. Recite the mantra slowly, three or nine times, in the morning or at dusk.
