Thai Amulets of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Poon (1912 - 2005)
of Wat Pailom (Nakhon Pathom).

The Most Venerable Luang Phor Poon was one of the most respected monks in Nakhon Pathom province, Thailand. Born on November 11, 1912, into a modest farming family, he showed great intelligence and a deep inclination for Buddhist teachings from an early age.

After a youth marked by labor and a brief stint in the Royal Siamese Army, he entered monastic life in 1937 at Wat Phra Ngam. He then continued his learning of sacred sciences, Khmer scriptures (Khom), and traditional meditative practices.

In 1949, he became abbot of Wat Pailom, a position he held until the end of his life. Under his direction, the temple experienced significant development and became a recognized spiritual center. He was also renowned for his charitable works, particularly the construction of schools and infrastructure for the local community.

Luang Phor Poon gained great fame for consecrating powerful sacred objects, including Khuman Thong, Hanuman, and amulets for protection and fortune. His creations are still highly sought after today by collectors and practitioners of Thai Buddhism.

He passed away on May 22, 2005, at the age of 93, after 68 years of monastic life. In recognition of his spiritual importance, royal honors were bestowed upon him at his funeral.

Even today, Luang Phor Poon is considered an accomplished master, recognized for his mastery of esoteric sciences, his compassion, and the spiritual power of his blessings.
