🙏🏽 Most Venerable Luang Phor Kallong of Wat Khao Lem 🙏🏽

Luang Phor Kallong Techawanno, also known as Luang Pu Kallong Khiao Kaew, was one of the great Thai masters associated with Wat Khao Lem, in Sa Kaeo province. Born in 1918 and passed away in 2009, he is remembered by devotees as a monk of meditation, ascetic discipline, and profound esoteric knowledge.

Originally from the Pathum Thani region, the Most Venerable Luang Phor Kallong showed a strong inclination for religious life at a very young age. He entered monastic life as an adult and was given the Dharma name Techawanno. After his ordination, he studied under many renowned masters, particularly in the fields of meditation, sacred incantations, protective yants, and traditional ritual practices of Thai Buddhism. The Most Venerable Luang Phor Kallong also spent many years in Thudong retreats in the jungle, living in various remote caves and having extraordinary encounters with both wild animals and various classes of spirits from Thai folklore.

Over the years, his reputation grew throughout the country. He was particularly revered for his spiritual presence, his mastery of blessings, and the miraculous power attributed to his amulets. Devotees also associated him with the nickname Khiao Kaew, referring to a sacred physical peculiarity called a "crystal tooth" (the Venerable had a tooth in the center of his palate that he could voluntarily move in and out of his palate like opening and closing an eye, an exceptional peculiarity that, if legends are to be believed, he shared with the monkey god Hanuman! In any case, this mobile tooth did exist, I saw it with my own eyes), considered in popular tradition as an exceptional karmic sign.

Wat Khao Lem and spiritual influence

Luang Phor Kallong settled at Wat Khao Lem, in the present-day province of Sa Kaeo, where he became a central figure in local religious life. Thai sources mention that he was the abbot of the temple and participated in numerous consecration ceremonies throughout Thailand, sometimes alongside other highly respected masters.

His teachings emphasized faith, mental concentration, the recitation of sacred formulas, and spiritual protection. The amulets consecrated by Luang Phor Kallong are highly sought after for their virtues of protection, good fortune, inner strength, charisma, and support in difficult situations.

A revered master of Thai amulets

In the world of collectors of Thai amulets, Luang Phor Kallong is associated with numerous ritual creations: medals, Phra Pidta, talismans, Lersi, Phra Kling, protective objects, and amulets linked to the esoteric traditions of popular Thai Buddhism. His spiritual signature remains linked to the power of yants, protective blessings, and the sacred energy transmitted through meditation.

The Most Venerable Luang Phor Kallong left this world in 2009, after a long monastic life dedicated to the Dharma, to the service of devotees, and to the preservation of ancient spiritual practices in Thailand. Even today, his name remains deeply respected among enthusiasts of sacred amulets from Wat Khao Lem and Sa Kaeo province.
