These small iron Dorje are made of 30% iron from links
of one of the famous Chakzampa (Iron Bridge) built almost
600 years by Mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo (1385-1509).

Iron Dorje are mentioned in the texts of Guru Rinpoche
as being very conducive to the practices of protectors,
and more specifically for the practice of Chana Dorje (Vajrapani).

Nowadays, iron Dorje are very rarely found in Nepal.
the vast majority of production is now in bronze
(because it is much easier to work with by molding).
