The Most Venerable Luang Phor Oun of Wat Tankong was born on March 9, 1916, the first child in his family. He became a monk on July 21, 1936, at Wat Tankong.
and had the Venerable Phra AhTiGaan Chan of Wat MapBpa Khao and Luang Phor Piw
(a monk famous for his deep knowledge of magic) as teachers.
Young Luang Phor Oun was a serious and hardworking disciple,
who quickly became the favorite student of the Venerable LP Piw.
Luang Phor Oun often went to Wat Nong Mai Leuang (Hua Hin)
to learn more about the magical science of the Nagas
and the alchemy of Lek Laï.
Luang Phor Oun also went to Wat Tanot Luang to seek advice from Luang Phor Thongsuk to further guide him in deepening his understanding of magical sciences and Dharma.
Seeing his seriousness in study and practice, the Most Venerable LP Thongsuk made LP Oun his chief disciple and delegated part of his responsibilities to him.
and even his students.
Venerable Luang Phor Oun was also the companion and disciple
of the Very Venerable Luang Phor Sawai of Wat Pidharam .
