This traditional Taoist talisman dedicated to the Three Heavenly Pure Ones (Sanqing) is a powerful symbol of spiritual protection from Chinese esoteric tradition. Made on red ritual paper and calligraphed in black ink according to the sacred rules of Taoist magic, it invokes the authority of the celestial deities to repel negative influences, harmonize energies, and protect the home.
This piece dates from the 70s/80s and was dedicated to Wat Huay Akong (Bangkok).

The mystical characters and seals on this talisman constitute a true energetic signature. In Taoist tradition, these sacred diagrams are considered commands addressed to the invisible forces of the celestial world, allowing for the establishment of a protective field around the person or place where it is kept.

This type of talisman is generally associated with the authority of the Celestial Commander, the protector responsible for maintaining order between the visible and invisible worlds. The ritual inscriptions serve to invoke celestial forces to ward off malevolent spirits, dispel negative influences, and ensure spiritual peace.

The wooden frame highlights the ritual dimension of this ancient piece (enhanced with three gold leaves) while allowing it to be displayed in a living space, a personal altar or a meditation space.
