This Mon tradition charm Takrut was consecrated by the Venerable Phra Ajarn Montri (Ajarn Noom) of Wat Bang Waek, also known as Phra Kru Sarapachorn Kosit. A disciple of Ajarn Prakong Runcharoen (see photo), this master continues the teachings of the lineage of the Great Master Pu Wor Konbai, dedicated to Mon charm, compassion, and attraction.

This talisman is traditionally sought after to foster affection, popularity, a warm welcome, and success in human relationships. It is suitable for both men and women.

A special alloy talisman

This amulet is made of metal cast from a special alloy. Its cylindrical shape features inscriptions and relief patterns, with ends accentuated by grooves.

The transmission of Mon charm

The Mon magic formula, also referred to as Raman charm, belongs to a tradition passed down from Pu Wor Konbai to his lay disciple Ajarn Prakong Runcharoen, and then to Phra Ajarn Montri. This transmission aims to preserve the ancient teachings and consecration practices of this lineage.

According to the information accompanying this amulet, Pu Wor Konbai once received the blessing of Luang Pho Sun of Wat Bang Pla Moh, in the province of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Luang Phor Jong of Wat Na Tang Nok and Luang Phor Parn of Wat Bang Nom Kho are also cited among the disciples of this master.

Ajarn Prakong is presented as a respected lay teacher, particularly for his Mon charms, "golden needle" amulets, and protection practices. A former monk at Wat Intraram in Talat Phlu, he received teachings from several masters, including Pu Wor Konbai, and passed this tradition on to Thai and foreign disciples.

Consecration under a favorable lunar conjunction

This takrut was consecrated during a period described as a "double lunar phase," corresponding here to a full moon falling on a Monday. In the tradition presented, this meeting between the lunar day and the full moon is considered particularly favorable for rituals of charm, attraction, and compassion.

Ancient masters also associated this period with practices such as Na Thong, the ritual application of gold leaf on the face, Phra Lak Na Thong rites, and the consecration of herbs or talismans intended to promote affection. The moon evokes gentleness, beauty, and personal radiance.

Charm, affection, and benevolence

The properties traditionally attributed to this amulet concern personal charm, popularity, romantic attraction, and marital harmony. The accounts of this lineage describe a talisman intended to inspire greater affection between partners and foster benevolent dispositions in those one encounters.

In the teachings provided, this practice is presented as a charm of compassion, intended for the happiness of disciples and used with a benevolent intention. The powers and their permanence are based on the beliefs attached to this tradition.

Wearing and recitation

According to the transmitted recommendations, the takrut is worn at the waist, in contact with the skin, attached to a belt or cord. It can also be threaded onto a string and worn on the wrist.
As this amulet is to be worn day and night, it is easier to wear it as a bracelet nowadays.
Traditional practice recommends regularly reciting the formula "Arahang" when wearing this takrut.
