This ancient Thai votive tablet depicts the Buddha of the future, Maitreya, seated under a sacred arch and surrounded by chedis and small Buddhas. Made of sacred terracotta approximately 150 years ago, it exhibits a natural patina and authentic wear, attesting to its age.

According to its previous owner, this votive tablet was discovered in a basket hidden inside a wall of an ancient secondary temple located near the famous Phra Pathom Chedi in Nakhon Pathom. Votive tablets were traditionally placed in chedis, sacred walls, or temple foundations to transfer spiritual merits to future generations.
