Rare Mae Nang Praï / Mae Hong Praï Amulet from the 1990s
Rare Thai esoteric amulet consecrated in small numbers during the 1990s by a now unidentified Ajarn.
This handcrafted piece depicts a skull accompanied by two crossed bones. Its eyes are adorned with faceted stones, while a dark red resin inclusion is placed on the forehead.
The reverse contains a ritual amalgam composed of dark resin and various organic materials, among which bone fragments seem to appear. The precise nature of these substances cannot, however, be determined with certainty.
This amulet is presented in its original waterproof reliquary, made of translucent purple material, characteristic of Thai productions from the 1980s and 1990s. Its raw, irregular, and entirely artisanal appearance indicates a small-series, handmade creation rather than a mass production.
