This rare antique amulet of the Buddha Phra Khunpaen comes from the famous Wat Ban Krang in Suphanburi province. It is presented here in an antique reliquary from the 1950s made of repoussé brass , with a rustic and authentic style that further enhances its ancient charm and spiritual presence.

Wat Ban Krang is a historic temple located on the banks of the Tha Chin River, about 20 kilometers north of the city of Suphanburi. Its origins date back to the Ayutthaya period, spanning nearly five centuries of history. The temple is particularly renowned for its Phra Khun Paen votive tablets, of which some 84,000 are said to have been produced. According to the information panel on site, these amulets were created to commemorate King Naresuan's victory in his famous elephant duel against a Burmese prince at the end of the 16th century, before being kept in the temple's stupa.
