Chinese sacred pearl of the four sons of the dragon
blessed by the Most Venerable Phra Maha Kananamtham Panyathiwat .

These sacred bronze beads are decorated with four fantastic animals from Chinese legends, which are part of the "nine sons of the dragon".
The nine sons of the dragon are
(according to the version of Wuzazu , a classical Chinese text from the 16th century):
- Q iúniú 囚牛, (Dragon-shaped) a creature that loves music
and is often used to decorate instruments.
- Yázì 睚眦, (a hybrid of dragon and wolf) a creature that likes to fight
and is often used as decoration on bladed weapons.
- Cháofēn g 嘲風, (a hybrid of Phoenix and dragon) an adventurous creature, which serves as decoration in the four corners of Chinese roofs.
- P úláo ( A small four-legged dragon) a creature that likes to scream
and serves as decoration on the bells.
- S uānní 狻猊, (a hybrid of lion and dragon) a creature that likes to sit
and is often represented at the foot of the Buddha (nicknamed "the lion of the Sakya")
- B ìxì 贔屭(a hybrid of turtle and dragon) a creature with a shell that can carry very heavy objects, it serves as decoration for tombs and bases for pillars.
- B ì'àn 狴犴, (a hybrid of tiger and dragon) a creature that loves trials, it is found as decoration in front of prison doors.
- Bāxià 霸下, (a hybrid of reptile and dragon) a creature that likes to drink water and serves as decoration on bridges.
- Chīwěn 蚩吻, (a hybrid of fish and dragon) a creature that likes to swallow things, it is found as decoration on Chinese roofs.
