Rare pair of bronze " single-pointed dorje ".
Beautiful contemporary Tibetan craftsmanship.
This type of Dorje was used in some obscure rituals
dedicated to the dakini Ekajati ,
but it was above all the terrible weapon of choice of certain wandering Lamas,
who used it in case of an attack by bandits.
Also the guardians of the Doubtob temples sometimes used
this type of Dorje because he was of course forbidden to them as a Lama
to carry a "real" weapon
(they also happened to be content
of a heavy bronze key at the end of a rope).
Note that unlike the other Dorje which are always used
with a Gantha ritual bell.
Single-pointed Dorje are always used in pairs.
