Rare ancient Pa Yant Yant Gao Phra Siwali, consecrated in 1977 by the venerable Kruba Khamsen of Wat Pa Don Mun, in Chiang Mai province.
This ancient Thai sacred cloth features a particularly elaborate composition organized around nine representations of Phra Siwali. Each figure is surrounded by sacred inscriptions and associated with magical squares and diagrams. The whole is completed by numerous lines of sacred characters traced over the entire surface of the fabric.
Phra Siwali is one of the great disciples of the Buddha and a particularly revered figure in the Thai Buddhist tradition. He is traditionally associated with luck, prosperity, abundance, favorable journeys, and the ability to receive help and support wherever one goes.
Consecrated in 1977, this Pa Yant is now almost half a century old. Its ancient fabric, its traces of time, and the delicacy of its inscriptions give it the authentic character of a ritual object that has spanned decades.
