Tao Wessuwan (also written Tao Wesuhan or Taw Waes Suwann)
is a Raksha living in one of the lower worlds of the Devas.

He is a protector of temples and of Dharma in general
and drives away evil spirits and ghosts.

He is very often found as a "temple guardian",
with his magic weapon Krabong in hand.
*
Tao Wessuwan is also a deity of fortune
(he is the "brother of Kubera " )
and the faithful often ask him to help them earn enough
to pay their bills and current expenses without worry.
