Ancient medal of Luang Phor Sim Utajaro – Wat Tham Pha Plong (Chiang Mai, 1978)

This rare commemorative medal depicts the Most Venerable Luang Phor Sim Utajaro (1915–1992), a renowned forest master and direct disciple of the illustrious Ajahn Mun Bhuridatto. It was blessed in a grand ceremony on 1 March 1978 at Wat Tham Pha Plong , a temple located in the heart of the forested mountains of Chiang Dao, in Chiang Mai province.

The front features a portrait of Luang Phor Sim, imbued with serenity, while the back features a powerful sacred yant intended to protect the wearer from negative influences and attract prosperity. This medal, made of patinated copper, belongs to an old series particularly sought after by collectors and devotees.
