Ancient Chinese Taoist Pa Yant on Monastic Cloth from Wat Ku Sorn

These magnificent Chinese Taoist Pa Yant were made on a piece of cloth from a monastic robe, using a traditional method combining printing with sacred seals and ritual handwritten tracing.

The background features five red ink Bagua seals, while the large central sacred symbol was hand-painted by the Most Venerable Phra Maha Kananamtham Panyathiwat, giving each piece a unique character.

These ancient talismans come from Wat Ku Sorn and date from approximately the 1980s to 1990s. They are a remarkable testament to the Sino-Thai Taoist tradition, where sacred seals and handwritten Fu are used to invoke the protection of celestial forces.
