In the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, Samantabhadra Buddha
occupies a central place: he is the primordial Buddha ( Adibuddha ).

He is depicted naked, blue in color, without adornments, performing the mudra
meditation. It is most often seen in Yab-Yum union,
that is, embracing his consort Samantabhadrī .
