Ancient Nepalese Ganesh Amulet in Translucent Glass Paste and Sacred Orange Sidhur Paste

This stunning traditional Nepalese amulet depicts Ganesh, the elephant-headed god, protector of new beginnings, wisdom, and prosperity.

The main part is made of translucent glass paste, subtly allowing light to pass through. Its face is partially covered with a sacred orange Sidhur paste, traditionally used in Hindu rituals as an offering to Ganesh and other deities.

The reverse side consists of a silver alloy base, serving as a support for this popular devotional amulet.

Sidhur is a sacred orange-red powder applied to statues, sacred stones, and cult objects during religious ceremonies. Its presence attests to the ritual use of this amulet.
