Vintage ethnic wooden statuette from Indonesia
A solid wood statuette depicting a stylized figure with arms crossed over its chest, in a style described as tribal or ethnic, characteristic of Indonesian handicrafts from the 1960s to the 1980s. Carved from dense, heavy tropical wood, it displays a natural dark patina, accentuating its volume and relief. The massive head, striated headdress, and compact posture recall the aesthetic codes inspired by traditional Southeast Asian arts, without corresponding to any identified ancient ritual piece. It is most likely a vintage decorative object, made in the spirit of the tribal art popular in Europe during the 1970s. One foot is missing, which does not detract from its authenticity and reinforces its lived-in appearance.

🌿✨ This silent figure seems to guard an invisible space around itself. In its stillness, it evokes stability, protection, and the memory of ancient traditions, even when reinterpreted by time. Placed in a decorative altar or a cabinet of curiosities, it becomes an anchor, a sober and meditative presence that invites calm and contemplation.
