Vishnu
Vishnu , in Hinduism, is one of the three members of the Trimurti, representing the preservation and protection of the world. He is the guardian of Dharma, embodying the balance between destruction and creation. According to Vedic texts, Vishnu periodically descends in the form of avatars to restore cosmic harmony. These incarnations number ten, the best known being Rama, Krishna, and Narasimha. Vishnu is often depicted with four arms, holding the conch (shankha), the discus (chakra), the mace (gada), and the lotus (padma).

The Buddha avatar of Vishnu.

In some Hindu schools of thought, Shakyamuni Buddha is considered the 24th avatar of Vishnu . This perspective seeks to integrate Buddhist wisdom into the Hindu cosmic framework, asserting that Vishnu took birth as a Buddha in order to steer beings away from blood sacrifice and toward a path of compassion. This syncretic view is still alive in many parts of India and Nepal.

Phra Narai Vishnu Thailand.

In Thailand, Vishnu is known as Phra Narai . He figures prominently in the Ramakien , the Thai version of the Ramayana. Phra Narai appears as a celestial ruler of infinite wisdom, often mounted on his faithful Phaya Kruth (Garuda) . He symbolizes righteous power, divine intelligence, and royal stability. Amulets bearing his image were once worn by warriors and members of the court.

Hayagriva Vishnu Tibetan.

In Tibetan Tantric Buddhism, Vishnu takes the form of Hayagriva , a wrathful protector recognizable by his horse's head (he sometimes also has a red wrathful demon's head with one or more horse heads in his headdress). Hayagriva embodies the pure force of Dharma, capable of overcoming the most subtle obstacles. His cry dispels the darkness of ignorance, and his amulets are used as a remedy against disturbing spirits and karmic diseases.

Narasimha (Narayana) Vishnu.

Another formidable form of Vishnu is Narasimha , the half-man, half-lion avatar. He arises to save his devotee Prahlada by tearing apart the demon Hiranyakashipu. Narasimha embodies righteous divine fury, the impossibility of binding the Divine in human conditions. Narasimha amulets are powerfully protective and are used in exorcism.
