Buddha amulet and green sarira beads

Here is an antique reliquary made of turned wood , painted in the traditional style of northern Thailand, typical of Chiang Mai . Dating from the 1980s , it has stood the test of time and now bears the marks of its age: the wood has split naturally as it dried over the decades (see photo), giving it an authentic patina.
Inside lies an ancient terracotta Buddha amulet , covered with a fine sacred copper powder . Around it are green sarira relic beads , considered miraculous spiritual manifestations linked to the presence of the Dharma.
