Amulet of the legendary hermit Thep Lok Udon
This amulet represents the legendary hermit Luang Pu Thep Lok Udon, also known by the honorific titles Phra Boromma Khru Thep Lok Udon and Luang Pu Yai Thep Lok Udon . It was consecrated in 2009 at Wat Phra Borom Satsada Mahamongkol in Bangkok.
A mysterious figure in Thai Buddhist tradition, Luang Pu Thep Lok Udon is considered a supreme arahant, a fully enlightened being who has attained the highest degree of spiritual realization. According to legend, he has lived for centuries to protect and preserve Buddhism.
He is reputed to have manifested himself to many famous meditation masters, including Somdet Phra Phutthachan To Phromrangsi, Somdet Phra Sangharaj Suk Kai Thuean, Luang Pho Ngern, Luang Phor Dooh and Luang Pu Suk.
These encounters reportedly took place in visions but also during Thudong retreats in the jungle.
Tradition describes Thep Lok Udon as a monk capable of appearing and disappearing without a trace. He can manifest in various forms: an elderly monk, a young monk, or an ordinary person. He is venerated as a supreme symbol of good fortune, transcending the ordinary world.
