Mysterious Tsesite stones from Namibia.
*
From a scientific point of view, tsesite was formed during the fall of the Gibbeon meteorite which fell to Earth about 30,000 years ago.
The heat generated by the fall of this meteorite fragmented large quantities of marcasite and scattered this stone over an area of approximately 400 square kilometers of desert.
The fractured marcasite then over the millennia underwent a transformation into goethite.
*
In ancient Namibian traditions, Tsesite is called "desert writing"
or "writing of the Djinns" ( كتابة الجن ) and is considered a sacred mineralogical curiosity.
Popular beliefs see these stones as powerful protective talismans attracting the goodwill of the Djinns, but also as protection against the dangers that await travelers in the desert.
Djinn are supernatural creatures from pre-Islamic Arabian mythology, mentioned many times in the Quran (which mentions about fifteen types of Djinn with different aspects and powers). It should be noted that the belief in the existence of Djinn is not specific to Islam, and that other Pagan and even early Christian traditions speak of similar creatures by giving them various names.

Many online stores offer Tsesite,
attributing to it a thousand virtues which would have been "discovered"
in 2010 by a...Swiss...

Some sites even offer creams and elixirs made from this stone.
I leave it up to you to believe or not their beautiful stories.

I offer you this stone here for what it really is in my eyes:

A beautiful mineralogical curiosity linked to ancient legends.

Each stone offered is unique; you will receive the stone in the photo and nothing else. The weight of each of these stones is indicated in their photo.
