Polychrome medal of the Most Venerable LP Waen Sujinno (1883-1985)
of Wat Doi Mae Pang (Chiang Mai).
*
This medal dates from 1977 and is the high-end version
from a series of amulets dedicated to the Thai army
(at that time there was a conflict between Thailand and Cambodia).
The "ordinary" version of this medal is made of copper.
*
The Most Venerable LP Waen is famous for living as a hermit for decades, perfect ethical conduct, always teaching the Dharma in a simple and pure way, but also for having been seen meditating while sitting in the clouds by a Thai army fighter pilot,
for having miraculously appeared in many photos
taken after his death, and because his relics were transformed
into crystals miraculously after his death!
One of LP Waen's miraculous images.
