Thai amulet portrait of the Most Venerable LP Sodh of Wat Paknam.
*
This series of amulets was dedicated to Wat Paknam (temple of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Sodh Candasaro) in 2022 following roof renovation work.
in the main temple.
These amulets are in fact made from the old roof tiles of Wat Paknam, crushed and agglomerated with resin.
*
In fact, in Thailand, the faithful believe that all the elements of a temple
accumulate the merits of the monks, whether tiles, wood
or even simple nails or door hinges.
So when renovations are made, these elements are carefully preserved and the monks use them to make various amulets and share the merits generated by the monks' prayers and meditations with as many people as possible.
