Chinese Feng Shui Fortune Talismans of Burmese Jade.

Concerning the origin of this three-legged frog, an old Chinese legend tells that one day, a young peasant was playing near a pond when he saw a frog.
The young peasant threw a stone at him and the frog disappeared underwater.
The child, sad, went to the pond every day to try to find the frog.
Much later, the frog appeared again, but the boy noticed that the frog had only three legs, probably because of the stone he had thrown at it, and he asked for forgiveness. Years passed and the young peasant had a son, who became seriously ill, but he had no money to buy the expensive medicine he needed. One day, when the child was dying, the croaking
of the frog was heard. The peasant then found the three-legged frog
in front of his door with a gold coin in his mouth.
He was then able to buy the medicine to cure his child.
