Rian Pim Phrok Boddhi – Medal blessed by Kruba Boonchum

This antique Rian Pim Phrok Boddhi style medal depicts the Buddha seated under the tree of enlightenment. Made of copper alloy with a beautiful natural patina, it was blessed by the very venerable Kruba Boonchum , a respected master of the Lanna tradition, in the Wat Santi Wanaram temple, located in Mueang district, Chiang Saen (Chiang Rai province).

The reverse of the medal clearly indicates its sacred origin with the inscription:

  • วัดสันติวนาราม (Wat Santivanaram)
  • อ.เมือง (Mueang District)
  • เชียงแสน (Chiang Saen)

This type of medal, often worn as a talisman, is reputed to protect the practitioner, calm the mind and promote the fruits of meditation.
