Rian Pim Phrok Boddhi – Medal blessed by Kruba Boonchum
This antique Rian Pim Phrok Boddhi style medal depicts the Buddha seated under the tree of enlightenment. Made of copper alloy with a beautiful natural patina, it was blessed by the very venerable Kruba Boonchum , a respected master of the Lanna tradition, in the Wat Santi Wanaram temple, located in Mueang district, Chiang Saen (Chiang Rai province).
The reverse of the medal clearly indicates its sacred origin with the inscription:

- อ.เมือง (Mueang District)
- เชียงแสน (Chiang Saen)
This type of medal, often worn as a talisman, is reputed to protect the practitioner, calm the mind and promote the fruits of meditation.
About Kruba Boonchum
Venerable Kruba Boonchum (or Khruba Bonchum Nyanasamvaro) is a legendary figure of ascetic meditation in northern Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar. Known as "the monk of the three kingdoms," he regularly spends several years in solitary retreat in caves. His benevolence, wisdom, and blessings attract thousands of followers. He is particularly famous for his prediction related to the rescue of the children from the Tham Luang cave in 2018.

Wat Santi Wanaram , located in Chiang Saen, is a Theravada temple linked to the lineages of northern Thailand. It regularly hosts blessing ceremonies led by renowned masters such as Kruba Boonchum. Not to be confused with another temple of the same name located in Udon Thani, the one in Chiang Saen remains a discreet but deeply sacred place.
