🙏🏽 Biography of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Parn Sunantharo of Wat Bang Nom Kho 🙏🏽

Luang Phor Parn Sunantharo, also known as Phra Khru Wihan Kitjanukarn, was one of Ayutthaya's great spiritual masters. Born in 1875 in the Bang Nom Kho region, in what is now Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, he is still deeply revered today for his wisdom, compassion, mastery of meditation, and his famous Thai Buddhist amulets.

Born into a family of farmers, Luang Phor Parn was given the name Parn due to a particular red mark visible on his left pinky finger. This uniqueness was later interpreted by his disciples as a karmic sign foreshadowing an exceptional spiritual destiny.

He was ordained as a monk at the end of the 19th century and received the monastic name Sunantharo. After his ordination, he studied Buddhist discipline, Dhamma teachings, meditation, and traditional practices with renowned masters, particularly in the Ayutthaya and Suphanburi regions. He is often associated with the lineage of great masters like Luang Phor Sun of Wat Bang Pla Mo and Luang Phor Niam of Wat Noi.

Luang Phor Parn became one of the most important figures of Wat Bang Nom Kho, located in Sena district, Ayutthaya province. Under his influence, the temple became a major pilgrimage site for devotees seeking protection, merit, spiritual healing, and blessings.

His reputation was not based solely on the creation of amulets. He was also known as a meditation monk, a master of compassion, a traditional healer, and a teacher of merit. 🛡 Luang Phor Parn and the Yant Kropetch 🛡

The Most Venerable Luang Phor Parn Sunantharo of Wat Bang Nom Kho is also associated with the transmission and blessing of the famous Yant Kropetch, sometimes called "diamond armor." In the esoteric Thai tradition, this sacred yant is reputed to form a spiritual protection around the practitioner, comparable to an invisible cuirass intended to ward off negative influences, dangers, and occult attacks. The term "Kropetch" evokes the hardness of diamond and symbolizes an indestructible protection granted by the blessings of the Dhamma.

Luang Phor Parn's disciples considered that this master possessed a deep mastery of sacred formulas, khatas, and protection practices originating from the ancient lineages of Ayutthaya. The Yant Kropetch thus appears on several amulets, talismans, and blessed objects linked to his temple. In Thai popular belief, this yant promotes courage, confidence, mental stability, and protection against accidents, evil spirits, and harmful energies.

The Yant Kropetch has the form of a complex mystical diagram composed of sacred Khom characters, esoteric lines, and ancient Buddhist formulas. When consecrated by a recognized master like Luang Phor Parn, it becomes for many devotees a powerful symbol of spiritual protection and Buddhist merit.
