Rare ancient Burmese statuettes of various Buddhas (Phra Upakut, Sakyamouni, etc.)
These Buddha statuettes date from the first half of the 20th century
and are composed of a paste of medicinal plants covered with golden lacquer
as you can see in the photo below.

In Burma, this type of medicinal statuette was once carefully preserved.
and when a person was seriously ill, a few grains of powder were scraped
with a knife blade from the hole on the base
and they were consumed in tea as a powerful blessing
for good health.
