Black amulet of the earth goddess Mae Thorani – Wat Arun (Bangkok), 1998

This rare amulet, consecrated in 1998, depicts the divine Mae Thorani , the Earth Goddess. It was created to celebrate the 230th anniversary of the founding of Wat Arun Ratchawararam , the Temple of Dawn, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

On the front side, we see Mae Thorani, a protective and benevolent figure, twisting her hair from which flows purifying water, a symbol of purity and victory of the Dharma . The reverse shows the majestic silhouette of Wat Arun with engraved commemorative inscriptions.
