from the Institute of Medicine and Astrology of His Holiness the Dalai Lama .

On the front of this medal we find the seed letter of Green Tara ( TAM )
surrounded by her mantra.
On the back of the medal we also find the seed letter surrounded by the mantra,
but on a mirror and "mirrored"
(i.e. inverted, only readable in a mirror!).

Green Tara (Sanskrit Shyamatara ) is one of the 21 forms of Tara, the female Bodhisattva of compassion, and the protective deity of Tibet.
She is represented seated, with two arms, a head, a crystal between her two eyes,
one leg partially extended, and his two hands holding two lotus flowers.
She is always ready to stand up to help people.
Green Tara is particularly known for its power
to overcome the most difficult situations,
giving protection and comfort against dangers.

This medal was dedicated during
a series of 9 Green Tara Puja ceremonies
and will bring powerful protection to its wearer.
