Small Shaligram pendants.

Shaligrams are fossils considered sacred by Hindus.

Shaligrams are fossils considered sacred by Hindus.
Most Shaligrams are black, but there are some (like here) that are brown or gray.
They are found in the Gandaki River in Nepal. In their groups the Shaligram
are considered to be related to the God Vishnu , but various subtypes are also found
of Shaligram linked to other Hindu Gods.

The small Shaligrams in these pendants are gray-colored shell fossils, rustically set in Tibetan silver (old melted Tibetan coins, containing a varying percentage of silver).

I got these Shaligrams from the holy city of Buddha Nilkantha in Nepal
about 15 years ago, and just found them in a box
(yes, I'm quite messy, I know)...
