🕯️ Antique Wen Phi Rod Temple Ring – Protective Phra Pidta – Missing Cabochon

This antique brass Wen Phi Rod ring comes from the Ayuthaya region.
Carefully carved, it features on each side a protective Buddha Phra Pidta , a symbol of the closure of the senses and the preservation of vital energies. The piece is now very patinated, and covered in places with natural verdigris , a testament to its age and its exposure to sacred conditions.

Inside the ring, we discover a rare braided pattern inspired by warrior bracelets from the Ayutthaya period, reinforcing the martial and protective character of the ring.

Initially, this unique piece was adorned with a central cabochon, probably in Mekkapat or alchemical Lek Lai , now missing. A deep imprint remains, suggesting the power of the original blessing.

  • Inner diameter : 17 mm
  • Weight : 15 grams

Forged in the silence of monasteries and nourished by ancient prayers, this ring is a silent relic of a time when warrior-monks wore their blessings like shields. The closed-eyed Phra Pidta watch over both sides of the finger, closing the doors to the poisons of the world. The verdigris is not corrosion but imprinted with the sacred, and the absence of the cabochon, a call to the invisible: this jewel is not just an ornament, it is an invitation to mystery.
