Lersi bronze amulet – Luang Phor Jek Thidtathammo – Wat Khao Daeng Tawan Tok (Phattalung) – 1982

This rare amulet depicts a Lersi sitting in meditation, his face marked by wisdom and determination. Made in 1982 under the blessing of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Jek Thidtathammo (1902 – 1985) of Wat Khao Daeng Tawan Tok in Phattalung province, it was cast in ritual bronze according to the ancient methods of southern Thailand.

Luang Phor Jek, a respected master known for his meditation practice in the sacred caves of Mount Khao Daeng, endowed these amulets with the power of the Ruesi (protective ascetic hermits). They are said to offer protection, clairvoyance, and inner stability to the wearer.

Origin and context

In 1982, Wat Khao Daeng Tawan Tok held a grand ceremony honoring the mountain spirits and Ruesi masters. The elderly Luang Phor Jek presided over the blessing from the main cave of Mount Khao Daeng, meditating for several days before the consecration. These amulets were cast in traditional molds and then immersed in the cave's holy waters.

Mystical Essence

The Lersi's gaze, frozen between two worlds, embodies the vigilance and compassion of the withdrawn sage. This amulet is said to protect practitioners from illusions, strengthen concentration, and attract benevolent mountain spirits. Wearing this piece invokes the silent presence of the ancient hermits who watched over the Dharma in the heart of the jungle.
