Small ancient Tibetan Tsa Tsa amulet from the Nagarjuna cave (Nepal).

Nagarjuna Cave.
I got a small batch of these Tsa Tsa's during my visit
from Nagarjuna Cave in October 2019.

tsa tsa in nagarjuna cave.
Tsa Tsa nagarjuna.
These amulets are about 40 years old and quite worn,
which is normal for preserved raw earth casts
without precautions in a cave for decades.
These amulets were made one by one by a Lama in the 1980s,
then placed in Nagarjuna's cave to receive his spiritual influence,
I was only able to obtain a few of them, quite exceptionally, because it so happens that the aunt of one of the children
from our orphanage in Nepal is...the guardian of the Nagarjuna Cave!
Each piece is of course unique.

We can guess the form of Nagarjuna on these Tsa Tsa,
which were originally painted yellow, but the paint has worn off over time.
*
Nagarjuna Cave is designated by Tibetan tradition
as one of the places where Nagarjuna is said to have lived and meditated.
It is one of the very few places in Nepal where the influence of the Nagas is very strong.
*
This extraordinary Master was born around the year 150 and lived for 600 years thanks to a stay of several centuries spent in the world of the Nagas (where time flows differently). Nagarjuna is known as a philosopher (we owe him, among other things, the treatise called "the tree of wisdom"), an alchemist,
a renowned doctor and he would also be the composer
from an erotic treatise (the Ratisastra , or "treatise on pleasure").
