Thai Amulet of Invulnerability Roop Lor
of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Phrom
of Wat Chong Kae (Nakhon Sawan).
*
The Most Venerable Luang Phor Phrom was born on Thursday, April 12, 1883, in Ayutthaya Province. He had four siblings. Luang Phor Phrom studied reading and writing with an old monk in his village. He studied the Khmer (Cambodian) language as well as the Thai language. At the age of 20, he was ordained as a Buddhist monk at Wat Khian Lai in his hometown on March 15 , 1904. His monk name was Phra Thawaro .

After ordination, LP Phrom began the practice of Kammatan meditation.
and began learning magic from Ajarn Phuang who was a renowned lay master. After his ordination, LP Phrom learned meditation from the Most Venerable Luang Phor Dam for 4 years. Then, he deepened his knowledge of magic from Ajarn Won for 5 years until his passing.

After that, LP Phrom exchanged magical knowledge with monks of his age and older such as the Most Venerable Luang Phor Doem.

At that time, LP Phrom went on a long Tudong pilgrimage. He walked to Burma and stayed there for quite a long time. One day, LP Phrom passed by Wat Chongkhae and stopped to meditate. At that time, there were only two old monks at Wat Chongkhae, but there was no abbot.

The local faithful became acquainted with LP Phrom and seeing that he was a respectable monk they asked him to become the Jao Wat (Abbot) of Wat Chongkhae.
LP Phrom was the first abbot of Wat Chongkhae. Thanks to his good behavior, LP Phrom was respected by many people. People gradually donated land to LP Phrom to expand the temple.

The Most Venerable Luang Phor Phrom began to consecrate amulets to raise funds to build a new temple.
Soon the faithful realized that the amulets consecrated by LP Phrom were very powerful protections and people came from further and further away to obtain them at the temple.

Luang Phor Phrom remained at Wat Chongkhae for 54 years (1917-1971 CE) until he resigned as abbot in 1971 due to health problems.
LP Phrom died on January 30, 1975
After death, his body miraculously mummified, and his body is still displayed for veneration by disciples at Wat Chongkhae in a glass coffin .
