Sacred Kubera Amulet – Phra Thanabodee
This rare amulet represents Kubera (Phra Thanabodee) , the god of wealth and treasure. It was made at Wat Chamao (Nakhon Si Thammarat province) in 2005 , from the sacred Mahawan material, and then blessed during one of the largest consecration ceremonies in the region.
An exceptional consecration
This amulet was consecrated on January 21, 2005 , during the Mahajakraphat Phuttaphisek ceremony, a huge spiritual event held in the ceremonial hall of Wat Chamao. Participating were:
- 108 monks in the main ceremony
- 999 monks chanting Buddhist mantras
- 16 monks reciting 4 sets of Dharma ceremonies
The sacred mantras invoked included the Mahajakraphat , the Itipiso Ratanamala , the Pan Yak , the Phuttaphisek as well as the great astrological ceremony of the Navagraha Luang . The ceremony was presided over by the Most Venerable Phra Thep Phawana Wikrom (Chao Khun Thongchai) of Wat Traimit (Bangkok).
