Töli ritual mirror of a Mongolian shaman.
The surface of this Töli is decorated with a Kirin dragon, clouds
and Mongolian religious motifs.
The rear part could with patience and elbow grease
be made shiny again by polishing it.
*
This Mongolian Töli shaman mirror has a beautiful green patina,
but I think this object is not an antique
and is only 30 or 40 years old.
*
This Töli is made of bronze, but is strangely also magnetic
and therefore contains a portion of iron (may be of meteoritic origin).
*
In Mongolia, this type of ritual mirror is worn by Shamans during ceremonies, sewn into the back of their clothes.
as a protection against evil spirits.
A "buttonhole" is located in the center of this mirror for this purpose.
*
UNIQUE PIECE.
