🌟 Amulet of Buddha Luang Phor Gaysorn consecrated in 2002 at Wat Tha Phra

This Thai Buddhist amulet represents the revered Luang Phor Gaysorn, a sacred image from Wat Tha Phra in Thonburi. Consecrated in 2002, it is presented here in a reliquary containing a relic from the monastic robes of the Jao Wat of Wat Tha Phra, adding a particularly precious devotional dimension for followers attached to the living lineage of the monastery.

Wat Tha Phra is one of the most prominent temples on the Thonburi bank, southwest of Bangkok. Its current grand viharn covers an older building, thus preserving the memory of the original sanctuary. The temple owes its name to Luang Phor Gaysorn, a sacred Buddha once fished out of a nearby canal, restored, and then installed in the historic viharn, where it became the most sacred image in the area.

Luang Phor Gaysorn, also transcribed as Luang Po Keson, is associated with the spiritual soul of Wat Tha Phra. Local tradition links him to a miraculous discovery in the waters, which explains the lasting renown of this Buddhist image throughout the Thonburi sector.
