Description
These ancient shamanic talismans in the shape of "monkey hands" come from the esoteric practices of traditional Laotian shamanism . Carved from a mineral material mixing consecrated earth and stone inclusions, these rare objects were used by healers and mediums in remote regions of Laos, often during healing rituals, protection against spirits and conjuring away negative energies .
The shape symbolically evokes the hand of the monkey , a sacred animal in certain animist traditions of Southeast Asia, known for its cunning, strength and ability to move between the visible and invisible worlds . It is believed that these talismans served as a channel of communication with guardian spirits or as an energetic support during trance or healing practices.
Each piece is unique, marked by time, rituals and the hands that have handled it.
